I have been trying to find discover the roots of the above named who was my grandfather x 3.
He was married in 1824 at Maughold Church to Jane Vaust. He died between 1836 & 1841 in England. I have so far been unable to trace his death or baptism in either the IOM or Scotland. There have been one or two red herrings. I would be grateful to anyone who could shed some light on him. He was a wheelwright by trade. I think he was born about 1800 in Scotland or the IOM. I unable to check the marriage banns at Maughold Church. He may have died at sea. His f.i.l was Charles Vaust Harbour Master at Ramsepy between 1838 and 1853. I cannot locate any baptismal or burial details.
