The above posts seem to be somewhat tangled. The 1861 Census data relates to William Garrett, shoemaker of Ballakaighin and his wife Jane LACE (mar 6 Jan 1852 German). The marriage entry confirms that Wm is the son of Edmund Garrett viz

This is almost certainly the same Wm Garret that was previously married to Jane Corlett viz:-

Since the father is not named at that time the evidence is circumstantial but the witness is probably his brother Edmund (b 1804)

The William Garrett & Jane Christian which you quote is in fact Wm Garrett and Jane Garrett viz:-
