Sylvia, I'm not convinced that the Elizabeth who was born 1858 to William Starkey & his first wife Margaret CLARK is the same Elizabeth Ann who went on to marry John COLLISTER.
The reason is because Elizabeth seems to drop out of sight after the 1861 census. She would have been about 13 at the time of the 1871 census, and unless she's somewhere working as a servant for another family, she isn't mentioned with the rest of the family.
However, I don't know why 'CLARK/E' would be mentioned on her gravestone.
On the 1882 marriage cert. I wonder what it has for her father William's occupation. If it's something to do with mining, it's probably him. The Margaret on the marriage cert. could be her younger sister Margaret Jane STARKEY. Margaret Jane was still single on the 1891 Douglas census.
I'll continue digging...
