almost certainly f.s. as enumerators were required to use this (& m.s. for male servant) - other common abbrevs are ap for apprentice, jy for journeyman (ie someone who has finished an apprenticeship but not fully trained and is moving between masters to gain experience) mkr for maker and kpr for keeper.
