Thank you for the last two messages. I do have all the family groupings which you posted. Daniel Looney my 2xgt. grandfather obviously gave the wrong age (58) in the 1851 census at Cardle Veg. Like you I have him pencilled in as the son of Yack and Margaret Hutchen b. c.1789. I did not have John (Yack) included in the family of John Looney & Margaret Kelvie, and therefore I must presume that you found him listed in John's will (1770)?
Margaret Looney nee Kelvie I have marrying Wm. Geech (I.G.I.) on Feb. 10th 1770 at Maughold. It would seem that Geech had been wrongly transcribed from Creetch?
If all the foregoing is correct then John Looney & Margaret Kelvie were my 4x great grandparents, and you and I are something like fifth cousins. I have not had access to the Manxlawsons website so I have not seen any of the wills which you refer to.
