How lovely to hear from you! Do you have any photos? I am so pleased to see the dates and names you mention, as I have struggled to isolate the correct John Callin - the dates were inconsistent. A quick look at Brian Lawson's site indicates that Robert could be the one who died age 33 in Patrick IOM, 1838.
