Stephen Cowin was allegedly the son of William Cowin and Jane Allen and chr in KK Onchan. He married Mary (surname uncertain but either Richardson or Hutchin) and had children Stephen, Mary Jane, and Sarah. Son Stephen was likely born in IOM and the latter two born in New York state, USA. They emigrated about July 1828 and settled first in Rochester, Monroe county, New York and then later in West Bloomfield, Oakland county, Michigan where Stephen and Mary are buried.

I would like to know if anyone is working this family and compare notes. Perhaps you have made better progress than me regarding their true parentage.
