My father was born in the isle of Man to a Charles Agnew. He was born in a house at Tynwald Street. The house is no longer there. His father died at a young age from stomach cancer.

My father went to live in Scotland with his mother Molly (maiden name was Tully) and she was from Ireland, when he was still very young. He never saw his father again!

I never knew my grandfather and I do know that I have relations on the isle of Man still but don't know who they could be.

A good section of my life is missing and now my father.

Is there any agnews on the Isle of Man that have older relations that may know something of a Charles Agnew. My father said that he was a well known ball-room dancer on the Island and had been a tram driver.

I would love to hear from someone over this as I am very proud of my family name.
