Hi! I don't know if you are the right body to contact, but I am trying to trace relatives of a Miss - or perhaps the Misses - Burns, formerly of Londonderry in N. Ireland, who retired to the Isle of Man sometime in the 1950s. She/they apparently had worked for the old Londonderry Corporation in the post-war period. Highly vague, I know.

The reason for the enquiry is that she/they is/are reputed to have taken to IoM at least one of the historic cannon from Londonderry. I am currently researching the cannon for a book that will be published next year, and am anxious to find out if this story is true or just yet another piece of urban legend.

Should anyone be able to provide a lead all assistance will be fully acknowledged.
