can anyone tell me if theres anywhere i can find out if there was a sort of baby farm in ramsey or douglas in 1800s /1900 s i know of the childrens homes that was later year at ramsey but this is ( maybe religous couple who took in unwanted babies and perhaps mums till child was born i have a name of a place the Aaish ( meaning house of rest) in 1900s but cant find out if this was it also a name of a street called coniston street any one an old map douglas or ramsey , hope i have worded this ok
