I am descended from Thomas Cowin (1782-1861) and Margaret Karran (1782-1859) and their son Phillip Cowin (1809-1852) and his wife Margaret Garrett (1823-1893), all of Lonan.

Phillip and Margaret emigrated to Australia with their 4 children in 1852. Margaret's brothers William and John Garrett also emigrated.

I am visiting IoM and staying at the Bridge Inn, Laxey from 22 to 28 May 2006 and I would love to meet any distant cousins who might help with my family history research.
