the KWC register (www.manxnotebook.com/fulltext/kw1905/p001.htm) offers no information other than Songey, William Ferriday, born Feb. 17th, 1825. Left May 31st, 1840

KWC was one of the first public schools - it was evangelical christian in outlook and several of the early pupils were sons of missionaries as I believe one of the London based societies subsidised education of their sons. It is however unusual to find no information about parents or address in the register - leaving at age 15 may mean he went onto another public school before University.
