Gt Nelson street was split in half by the construction of Prospect junction with the new Victoria Street - part led down to what is now Marks & Spencers (mostly still there but one pub has been demolished - the other (originally mostly Gt George St) had the Iom bank on the corner ending at Church St - when I worked there there was still a row of old houses - now all demolished
