catch is that the LDS managed to turn the virtually silken purse of the 1911 official copy of the Parish regs (which is the basis for the c038xxx etc batches) into the pigs ear of the igi by deleting whole families from the PR batch number and by at times atrocious transcriptions given that the official copy is in a modern very readable hand - quite what happened the the marriage reg transcription I cannoy begin to fathom
