Please can anyone advise where I can find out if somebody has been adopted. Family rumour has it that my Grandfather Walter Greene Cain(1895-1971) was adopted by Richard Cain (1863-1963) hence the middle name of Greene however we don't know when or why or if it's true. I believe they all originate from Malew and Douglas.
