GEORGE CRAINE
Joining Gymnasium [a team based in Douglas] in 1900, George was an outstanding sportsman, as well as being a full back of distinction. He won all the local honours nad was approached by several leading professional clubs including Everton and Bolton. He retired in 1926 and took up referring. Died in 1956 at the age of 72.
