there are a line of workhouse graves in Braddan new - judging from the grave plot register they filled each slot with IIRC six bodies.

I don't known what happened in other parishes but vestry accounts in early 19th C usually include the costs of coffins etc for paupers (eg look at Santon Parish reg on LDS film)
