EDWARD KELLY, according to the 1851 English census, was born in the ISle of Man in about 1813. I have his marriage certificate from 1839 in Liverpool when he gives his father name as JAMES KELLY a farmer.
The IGI has an EDWARD baptised at MArown in 1813 with parents JOHN KELLY and JANE CRAINE. Searching ther IGI JANE CRAINE had other children at MArown in the same time period, but this time the father was JAMES. I think that the IGI might have transcribed the entry for EDWARD's father. I need to have the originalk register checked (not a transcription) does anybody know how I can get this done.
