Don't know if you still look at the board, but it would appear that we share a common ancestor - Colin Ritchie. Do you know if he had a son Colin who married a Mary Stafford? Their daughter, Mary Richie (presumably named after her aunt who died in 1842) was my great,great-grandmother. We have a lot of information on the family from that pont onwards, but I'd love to see what you have found out about Colin Ritchie of His Majesty's 10th West India Regiment. I have some info on bits of his family.
