There is a Jane Shimmin, daughter of John Shimmin and Catherine Bell, on the IGI. She was christened in Rushen on August 2 1809.
On film number 0106441 (1841), there is a will of a Catherine Shimmin and there are two for John: numbers 0106455 (1854) and 0106457 (1856),
1851 Census HO107/2526 folio 292 page 29 In 1851 Jane Cluston is a pauper at Ballagawne, Rushen with three children Thomas 11, Jane 9 and Catherine 6.
Jane and Catherine show up in 1861 aged 51 and 16. Jane is on Brian's burial index age 54, March 19 1864.
