Lois, having read through the info you so kindly posted for me, I don't quite understand still, where William Quine is situated in this family. On the info, it says "Children of Elizabeth Quine and James Skillicorn etc. William was born 1864 but Elizabeth and James did not marry until 1866. Would that suggest that she had William illig. and James took him on as his own, as William kept the name Quine? Any input would be appreciated.
