I have been trying to find info on the sailing careers of two ancestors, both of whom I believe were officers of the Manx Steamship Co.
Thomas Stephen, born 1851, Ramsey, died 1921 Douglas.
and his son
Thomas Patrick Stephen born 1879 in Ramsey, died 1920 Ramsey.
I have found reference to the older Thomas calling him Captain and I believe that his son died as a result of time spent in the water during WW1 after being torpedoed on the ship Good Hope.
Any assistance on both or either would be appreciated.
