Hi, I am researching my gggrandfather William Moore, who was born around 1834,possible near Douglas. His father was born in IOM and possibly his father was William also. His mother was born in England according to the 1880 census.
He immigrated to Oswego, NY in 1864. I believe he was in the British Army.
His wife's name was Adaline Mereand, who I think he met in Canada.
