there is a Grose family in Marown in 1841 which I think moved to Douglas in 1851
a family headed by Ann & Mathew in Rushen in 1851 (also has a Bawden in household - a name strongly linked to Manx mining); also a grandchild with a Reed(Reid) family in Patrick in 51

The childrens ages in 1871 look somewhat strange - must be a second marriage and possibly he was quite young
