I've just received a marriage cert relating to my wife's late grandfather whose residence at time of marriage is stated as Laxey, Isle of Man. This was in 1943 and I know that he was in the Cheshire regiment and served in Italy, but the Isle of Man connection is a bit of a mystery?
Was he stationed there etc? Can someone enlighten me please?
His name was Percy Henry TRUMAN.
