He married Jane Povey in Liverpool in 12/1840.

Mathias' father is listed as James Cain a shoemaker.

Mathias is also listed as a widower at the time of his marriage in 1840.

Now the hunt to find the first wife goes along with the hunt to find out which James Cain was his father.
