Re: Help with death certificate

I realise that the dates do not fit at first sight.
However, it is most unlikely that Elizabeth was named Query or that she had a child when she was 79.
There are a few families called Quarrey, Quarry and Quarrie recorded on the IOM, but none called Query.

What are your sources for:
a) 1811 for Elizabeth's and Thomas's DOB?
b) Elizabeth being 79 when Elizabeth Jr. was born - presumably in 1890?
c) The name Query

Cowin or Cowen is quite common and the IGI has 24 christenings of Thomas Cowi(e)ns between 1801 and 1821.

There are no Thomas Cowins in Brian Lawson's burial index who really fit the bill.
Of this buried in 1888 or later there are only three who are close.
Maughold April 5 1900 aged 76
German June 15 1903 aged 81
Braddan March 26 1890 aged 62

The 1900 Thomas left a will - see film number 0106536.
Do you have any idea of which parish the family may have been born in or lived in?
Good luck
