I have been able to get my family tree back to the IOM as far back as John Cowin (b. Patrick, IOM 1814) and Elizabeth Callow (b.1816). They had one son - as far as I can find out - William (b. Lackley 1843) He moved over to the UK and married twice in 1872 and 1878. I am having trouble deciding how to go about researching further back. I am going to join the IOM Family History Society, any other thoughts on how I could find more info? Any suggestions would be an enourmous help!! Thanks
