Nigel, my research leads me to believe so. I would be a decendent of William Cain, (Catherine Cain Callow's brother)
I am a direct decendent of Mathias Cain born 5 Mar 1813 and chr 15 Mar 1813. He married in Liverpool in 1840 and emigrated to the US, settling in NY for 25 years and then bringing his family to Wisconsin, where we remain today.
Mathias is the son of James Cain and Jane Lewen. This is confirmed.
The missing link is whether this is the James Cain born to John Cain and Isabel Key. It appears there are two James Cains born about the same time. One married a Jane Lewen and their son is Mathias b 1813. The other James Cain married an Eleanor and had a son Mathias Cain. I cannot definitively link the James Cain b~1786 to this family from Booilley Vane to either Jane Lewen or Eleanor Clucas.
If you haven't seen this yet, this is the information I am basing my information off of. I did also go up the pedigree chart and found Catherine.
