i too am researching a mcneil but this is a clive or cleave who married a jane kelly in kirk michael 30 june 1861 she was born in england her father william kelly born 1812 kirk michael mother margaret roberts born in wales 1812 jane i have inall census up to 1881then i lost her she was a widow in 1881 now i cannot find his death or hers or another marriage also their son cleave born 1863 does anyone have them t hey lived in douglas both cleaves born douglas jane born 1839 cleave senior born 1843
