I do not think that there is any connection. However, I have an Arthur Taggart who is a ggg grandfather. The only place I have found him is on his daughter's marriage certificate in Liverpool in 1848. I have no clue as to where he was from as he does not appear on any census or death record.
My Manx ancestors' names include Christian, Costain, Maddrell, Ellisson, Keig, Taylor, Corrin, Crebbin, Waterson Quayle and Callow. The were nearly all from Rushen or Arbory.
