The IGI record I looked at says he was of Ramsey, not born there, and married Margaret (not Cath) Clark about 1839. These details were given by a member of the LDS Church, and at best may have come from a will or from a MI or census return. At worst they could have been guessed to fill a gap in the person's records.

There were several John Moores bapt in different parishes within a few years of 1814, and to identify which one was your ancestor you need details of all his children's bapts, and places and ages given in census records, burials, MIs, etc.

There is a Ramsey parish reg. entry for the bapt of Cath Moore 14 April 1842, the dau of John Moore & Margt Clark or Waterson, with other bapts of children of John Moore/Margt Clark in Patrick regs. You need to start from whichever child was your grandfather/ grandmother, and details of that child and parents in censuses.
