In the burial and marriage registers the name quaile (usually spelled with an e) disappears by c. 1750 and the spelling Quayle (already the most common variant) is universal until late 19th century when a few Quail's appear (tho none in 1881 census and just one family in 1851) - your spelling, if derived from IoM and not elsewhere, may indicate a move by mid 18th C or earlier
