Hi,
I have found my Liverpool family but am now stuck again. I have the marriage certificate for my gr grandad Thomas Moughtin(1882) and his wife Sarah Ellen Mitchell (1882). married in Liverpool.
Thomas's father is James Salter(deceased) on the marriage certificate. Having trawled through bmd, IGI I thinkJames was Married to Sarah Anne Haigh in 1874 in Liverpool.
James is mentioned on the 1881 census in Liverpooland his birth is c1846 along with Sarah and two children - Sarah (1779) and James(1775).
In the 1901 census Sarah is a widow in Liverpool and there are more children (Alexander, Benjamin, Walter, John, Thomas, ).
Sometimes James is c 1846 born in Liverpool and sometimes he born on Isle of Man.
Can anyone help please.
