IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Robert Quiggin of the town of Douglas being
weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty
God for the same do make and ordain this my last will and testament that
is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into
the hands of Almighty God that gave it And my body at the earth to be
buried in decent christian burial. And as touching such worldly estate
wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life. I give demise
and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Quiggin the house wherein Frances
Shaw now lives in and also one half of my house at the house side wherein
Mary Heywood now lives with all their appurtenances.
I give and bequeath to my son John Quiggin the house wherein I now live
with all its appurtenances.
I give and bequeath to my son Daniel Quiggin the house wherein my son
John Quiggin now lives in and also the one half of my house at house side
wherein Mary Heywood now lives with all their appurtenances. And also
the sum of two hundred pounds British, that my son John Quiggin oweth me.
I give and bequeath to my son Henry Quiggin my upper house at the house
side lately possessed by General Stapleton and also my lime kilns stables
cow house yard and that is to say the remainder of my concerns at the
house side with all their appurtenances.
And lastly I give to Eleanor Quiggin my beloved wife all the rest residue
and remainder of my effects real and personal moveable and imoveable of
what nature or denomination soever whom thereby appoint whole and sole
executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have
hereunto subscribed my name this sixth day of June in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven. Robt Quiggin

I Robert Quiggin of the town of Douglas do make and publish this codicil
to my last will and testament that is to say I give and bequeath to my
daughter Ann Quiggin the red bed furnished with bed cloathes bed and
beding. Also the large desk and six black birch chairs. In witness
whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this at an Ecclesiastical
Court holden at Douglas 25 Sept 1811.
William Banks and Daniel Christian the subscribing witness to the before
going last will and testament of the testator Robert Quiggin being sworn
on the Holy Evangelists severally depose and say that the said testator
where of of sound disposing mind memory and understanding duly made
published and declared the same as and for his last will and testament in
their presence and that they know of no will by him since made to the
contrary whereupon Eleanor Quiggin the executrix is sworn in court in
form of law and hath given pledges for the payment of debts and legacies
namely the witnesses of the will. PROBATUM EST Thos Cubbon
