They could be from the same family, but there were a lot of Sayle and Teare families in Andreas. If you can trace your families back another generation through the parish register and wills etc., it is possible that they could connect up.

Philip Sayle who died in 1776 had half-brothers Thomas Sayle [of the Craig, Andreas] and John Sayle, also of the Craig, who married Catherine Moore in 1727. Their sister Joney married 1721 James TEAR [both died 1772].
