Hi Aaron,
The simple answer is to go back, to establish which SIMPSON family is yours, then come forward on that line using birth, christening, marriage, death & burial information. There is good advice posted at:
http://www.gov.im/mnh/heritage/library/publicinfo/familyhistory.xml
http://genealogy.about.com/cs/isleofmangenealogy/
http://www.isle-of-man.com/interests/genealogy/sources.htm
http://www.isle-of-man.com/manxnotebook/famhist/genealgy/intro.htm
and heaps of relevant information at:
www.lawsons.ca
It may be possible to short cut the process by searching the 1901 Census (and obtaining transcripts of families at a small cost) at:
http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/
and I note that Donna Douglass, who contributes to this bulletin board, appears to have the transcripts of Douglas Borough Burials which are likely to be relevant.
I tried writing to all the CALLOWs in the Whitehaven area once, but the reality was that all my living relatives in that area went by other surnames !
Several of the people who have assisted you thus far, have left you clues as to where to look, but are wary of doing the hard graft for you, because that's what it takes.
