My g.grandfather Caesar Gell was a mariner and was lost at sea in 1877. I have been trying to find out which vessel he was on. The 1871 census showed he was on a vessel called Orbit and by the 1881 census this was out of commission. Is there any information available on vessels sailing from IOM around 1877. He wasn't listed in the Shipwreck book.
