Am trying to locate any records for John Bristow b. Isle of Man 1799) He owned tenement buildings and a shipping fleet before coming on hard time and moving to England by way of Wales and then into Canada in the mid 1800s. Can anyone help? I do have a note from a relative there was a christening at St. Mathews, Douglas Isle of Man. I am trying to confirm all the old information I have and so far I have found four John Bristows, but none from the Isle of Man.
