In the 1881 Census in England I found a John Cain and his family residing Cleator, Cumberland England.

Elizabeth Cain b abt 1872, Cleator, dau
John T. Cain b abt 1881, Cleator, son
Joseph Cain b abt 1878, Cleator, son
Louise Cain b abt 1879, Cleator, dau
Mary E. Cain b abt 1870, Cleator, dau
Andrew Kelly b abt 1869, Whitehaven, son

I think this is the same John Cain as found in the
1871, Malew, district 4, schedule 47, 5 Close Clark . He has a new wife in this 1881 Census. I'm happy if anyone can disprove my theory.
