My grandfather was a Thomas Kermode, his grandfather was a Thomas Kermode, and we think his grandfather also was a Thomas Kermode (but not sure of this last one ...). Don't think there's a connection to you/yours but who knows?

What is your interest in Kermodes, if I might ask? My great grandfather Arthur Nathaniel Kermode was one of 12 or 13 sons of Thomas Kermode and Elizabeth Cowley, m. 1841 at Ballaugh. He emigrated from Peel IOM to Adelaide, South Australia in (from memory) the 1870's. And that's where I live, 130 years later.
