I know that this is a fair time after your posting but I to am related to "LYNCHEY", LYNCHIN" or LYNCH" they came from the IoM to Australia.

Australian records use all three variants of the name.

My GG grandmother Mary Ann LYNCHEY was born C 1825 Douglas according to her death certificate

Her father "James"??? supposedly an army officer.

Her mother Sarah (nee Mullins??) widow tried at Castle Rushen 1834 sentenced to 14 years transportation.

Sarah arrived Sydney 07/09/1835 with 1 son and 2 daughters one of whom appears to be Mary Ann.

Another son, Thomas aged 14 was alaso sentenced and apparently sent to Tasmania, however I have not found him yet.
