Hi, folks, I am hoping someone can help me find my missing rellies. I am researching my 2xgreat grandfather EDWIN POLLITT, born in the IOM (possibly Bradden) in 1832. Up until 1861 Edwin is recorded as being a journeyman ropemaker. He later married a lady named Mary Jane Milroy who was born and possibly married in Cumberland as the couples 2 children were born there also. Mary Jane died quite young and Edwin moved to Liverpool and married a lady named Jane 'Scott' (also a widow). While in Liverpool, Edwin became a police constable.

I am trying to find Edwin in 1851 or earlier and in particular, his parents. I think his father was James Pollitt and mother was Esther Kewley, but it is only what I have found on the IGI.
