Re: LYNCH/LYNCHEY/LYNCHIN
In Response To: LYNCH/LYNCHEY/LYNCHIN ()

Thank you Brian, Frances and Marie.

The arrival indent in Sydney says that convict SARAH (not Mary) LYNCHEY arrived on the ship "Mary" with a son (one of three) and two daughters. She had been found guilty of the theft of money at a trial at Castle Rushen.

so far I have not found a Thomas LYNCHEY amongst the convict records but will keep looking.
The Sarah LYNCHEY baptised July 1826 is probably one of the daughters.

I will go to the Manx Museum site to try for the court info.

Regarding the book it is not held in Melbourne at the State Library, nor in Canberra in the National Library; it is in the New South Wales State Library in Sydney but that is 1000Km away.

Would it be possible to photo copy the "more information" that Marie referred to and to email, fax or snail mail it to me? I would send money for the costs.

Cheers
