Thanks Frances. It certainly makes things difficult with few records and as you say, copies of wrong info. I find as I venture further that evrything becomes even more entangled. I have very little access to a lot of records so am forced to leave off my searching along most of my Manx lines with much regret as it seems to have been a most interesting part of history. Thanks to all for help on this site and I hope to gain more insight at a later date.
