Margaret and James were married in Cleveland, in 1859. US Census records show them as Irish. However, I can find no Kaneen born in Ireland. There was a James Kaneen born to Thomas Kaneen & Elizabeth Cleater abt March 1823. His siblings emigrated to Cleveland. He seems to disappear as a Manx in Isle of Man and in US.

Does anyone have any information about them? Or death record for Thomas Kaneen? His wife emigrated to USA late and appears in US 1870 census with son Robert.

My wife is descended from Thomas Kaneen, & son Jonathan who emigrated to USA & fought in US Civil War (1861, 2).
