there must be 100+ books on the IoM Railway! - ran Douglas-St John's-Peel (opened 1873), Douglas-Castletown-Port Erin (1874), St John.s- Ramsey (early 1880's I think) and St John's-Foxdale in 1890's. Only the Douglas-Port Erin still survives - a 3 foot narrow guage steam hauled railway fully operational. (see www.manxnotebook.com/books/ddc3.htm#385.5 for a short list of books)
