My thanks to Brian, Pat, Brian and Donna for their responses; and to Ann Corris who steered me to this. I tried the Angelfire but got nowhere. The person I am interested in is the husband of Jane Christian als Moore. Jane is listed in the 1871 census with her children Louisa & Selina. Jane was born about 1821/2 and I think William Christian would probably be around 1819 but cannot find him on the IGI it only says he is a Mariner. Fishing fleet or commercial? Interested in establishing where he is from and parents, if possible.
