Re: Cregeen/Looney/Sprung
In Response To: Cregeen/Looney/Sprung ()

Margaret Lewney (Looney) married Carl Ludewig Sprung in Liverpool 1833. Among the children was Carl Ludewig Sprung ch.1838.

It was the son who married Mary Ann Cregeen 1860 in Braddan. They had a number of children in Douglas before moving to Liverpool and adding a few more.

By 1881 he was written as Lewis, widowed, living with his family in West Derby Liverpool. His occupation was Cigar Maker and probably worked at Ogdens Tobacco Factory in the area.

I can't see an obvious connection with Agnes but how old was she in 1891 and what was the names of her children ?

The surname sometimes changes to Spring but some marriages under either name mat be found in Lancashire BMD.
