Corlett (1780's-1850's)

I know this is a long shot, but I'm searching for information on William Corlett who possibly came from the Isle of Man Before 1815.

My Grandad always said we had an Ancestor from the Isle of Man who was a Jeweller;
well according to my research, from the early 1820's William Corlett (b1783c) was Living in Liverpool working as a Pawnbroker (so i'd presume before then as well), and in 1841 was stated as "born outside of Lancashire" while his Wife and two children were born in Lancashire.

The problem is now I can't find any infomation about him to confirm the Manx Link (for one - he doesn't seem to be on the 1851 census) and if there is one - where is he Likely to come from?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
